Schools In the USA

The most noticeable difference American schools display and offer in comparison to, I guess the rest of the World, is the freedom of choice.
Starting in elementary schools in about fourth grade students, as a rule, can choose one of three advancement levels in a particular subject.  Average - is the starting point and the level where most
students are placed or prefer to stay.

Notice how it is interpreted.  It is about child's individual preferences and not about cleverness.  This is a reflection and understanding of the fact that skills, knowledge and intelligence have numerous forms and dimensions.  It is explained in detail on this K12 education system website.

What is K12?  Grades 1(one) through 12 (twelve) including Kindergarten.  Right here you will find the definition of K12.

By the way, did you know that Einstein, who undoubtedly was a genius, couldn’t tie his shoelaces and almost completely lacked social skills?    Well, this at least is the common belief.

As they say, different strokes for different folks.  I very strongly believe that an education system, which is based on the principle of freedom of choice, gives a great start to a successful grownup life.

Happy learning!

See ya …
